Frequently asked questions
Steel roof or timber roof?
A steel roof resists rot and insects, needs less maintenance and performs better over large spans. Timber may be preferred for some architectural reasons; we evaluate together based on your needs.
Can I convert my existing timber roof to steel?
Yes. We plan demolition, installation of the new structure and cladding on a schedule that disturbs the use of the building as little as possible.
Is a steel roof noisy in the rain?
With the right insulation layers and cored panels, rain and wind noise is largely eliminated. We pay particular attention to insulation in residential projects.
How long does roof construction take?
It depends on the area and scope. After the site visit we share a day-by-day work schedule.
